In the still of the morning, Kaldan followed through his moves silently, but in complete perfection still. Here in Lothlorien he had seen her in the arms of another, deep down inside he wished not to be true, and yet, his own eyes had not betrayed him. She is not mine, but Orophin’s. The Lady had foreseen this, but why him? Twisting, he smoothly turned, levering the sword above his head and held the balance for a moment. The warrior’s grace, food for the soul. Going through this morning routine calmed him and gave him something to hold on to.
